Just bought a new pc system on sunday evening with my brother and juan at sim lim square. As i mention that i am selling Angela(my previous system) to baby, i need to get a new system for myself. Total price was $1258 exclusive of the ram,hard disk and cpu my brother gave me. If include the ram and cpu, it would cost roughly about $2000. 'B3' is the new name for my new system. The specification: Mainboard -Gigabyte EX-58 UD3P CPU -Intel Core i7-920 GPU -MSI N275GTX Twin Frozr OC Edition Memory -Croshair Dominator 3x2GB HDD -Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm PSU -OCZ Stream Pro 700 Chassis - Cooler Master CM690 OS -Windows 7 Home Premium 64bits. The stuffs i bought on sunday is the mainboard, GPU, PSU, Chassis and OS. Quite satisfy with the new GPU i bought. Initially, i was planning to buy EVGA 260GTX SSC, but it ran out of stock. The sales person introduce us this MSI GeForce 275GTX, although the price is not much of a diff, but i always wanted EVGA as i had tried it's GeForce 8800GTS before and i think this brand is good. Since i dont really have other plans on buying other cards, i just go with the flow as price is an issue. To my suprise after reading reviews on this card i bought, it has good rating with very powerful cooling system; a dual-fan. Here's a picture of it.  Another thing is the new Windows 7. The changes between win 7 and win vista is not too much compared to the changes between vista and xp. And since i bought a 64bits windows, i can fully untilize a full 6GB memory from my ram. Processes with i7 and 6GB of DDR3 1600mhz ram is sure much faster and smoother. Last thing i wanna talk about is left 4 dead 2. With the new graphic card i have now, i can feel that i am yet again gaming from a whole new level. 3rd Geforce i had tried so far, from 8800GTS to 9800GX2 to currently 275GTX, every time i change a card, it just amazed me how fast technology had and can advance. and thats all for my new system..... one more thing... sorry for the late wish dear...but... Happy 7th months...i love you. can't wait for our 1yr and your 21st birthday trip to happen..muaks...!! Saturday, November 14, 2009 Today, woke up at 12pm+. Was playing left 4 dead 2 demo till 3.30pm, bro came up to check out something about MSI mainboard stuff for his colleague. Baby and her family wanted to change a new PC, her dad asked me for help to build a new set for them and their budget is $1k, i asked bro what can they get for $1k, bro told me $500 can build one already (super minimum spec of cos). Initially, bro said give them his old i7-920 chip to them, but after checking out the price of the other parts that can be compatible with i7 cpu, $1k is not quite enough, unless using very cheap and weak parts along with i7, but it will be a great waste on using i7 cpu. After discussing for awhile, bro suggested to sell my whole system to baby for 1k. People might think it is too expensive for a second hand system, but the graphic card itself already cost about $800+, and this system is less than 2years old. And because my windows vista is OEM (means it recognize its mainboard), meaning the OS is going along to them. The whole system without the I/O cost about $1.7k at current market value, and im selling it for $1k should be quite fine. Plus baby use my comp b4, she should know how fine my system is. It is still a suggestion, still have to ask the buyer if they are fine taking a 18months old system, if baby's dad mind, then our alternative would be getting something brand new with lower spec. If her dad doesn't mind, then i will be getting a X-58 mainboard with my bro's i7-920 cpu, a 6gb triple channel ram, window 7 home premier 64-bits, EVGA GeForce GT260, a new 600 to 700 watts psu, a new casing(preferably a casing that is compatible with water cooling, so i can upgrade to water cooling in the future). I need to top up about $400 to $500 to get all this i think. Anyway, i went for lunch at about 4pm, got home and started doing some cleaning/tidying the room- sweep the floor, mop the floor, changing of bedsheet, laundry, washing 2 fans and finally washing myself. Chilling right now and listen to hot 108 jamz. Gonna play l4d2 later... 1more day and baby will be back, can't wait to see her... I miss you dear.... love you...hugs~~ Friday, November 13, 2009 Its been more than a month since i last had my last post. Ever since i resume my school life, i didn't spend much of my free time hanging in front of my pc; just don't feel like it. Even if i did spent like 1 to 2 hours a day using the pc, as compared to last time i spent most of my free time using pc; be it playing games, using facebook or watching anime. Well, things isn't quite same anymore. I had shifted to the next room my sister used to live in, it is about 1.5times bigger than my previous room? Me and juan painted the room purple, initially it was kinda like a peach color. We bought nippon easy-wash, cost $60 and it took us 2 and a half day to finish painting inclusive of shifting the stuffs over. Like this room a lot, the room is bigger, so is our bed. Spent about $120 at Ikea on new bedsheets, quilt, quilt cover and pillow cases. It is a black and white bed. Like it a lot even though it cost a lot. Finally the 2 of us dont need to squeeze in a single-size bed. Juan bought 2 king koil pillows and a bolster, it just make everything so complete. :) I just feel like everything in this room belong not to myself alone, but the both of us. Yesterday morning, juan and her family went to thailand for holiday, i'm missing her badly even though it is just been 1day or so. Sigh.... I miss you so much dear.... can't wait to see you on monday. and one last thing. Happy 8th.......i love you. |
