Today, woke up at 12pm+. Was playing left 4 dead 2 demo till 3.30pm, bro came up to check out something about MSI mainboard stuff for his colleague. Baby and her family wanted to change a new PC, her dad asked me for help to build a new set for them and their budget is $1k, i asked bro what can they get for $1k, bro told me $500 can build one already (super minimum spec of cos). Initially, bro said give them his old i7-920 chip to them, but after checking out the price of the other parts that can be compatible with i7 cpu, $1k is not quite enough, unless using very cheap and weak parts along with i7, but it will be a great waste on using i7 cpu. After discussing for awhile, bro suggested to sell my whole system to baby for 1k. People might think it is too expensive for a second hand system, but the graphic card itself already cost about $800+, and this system is less than 2years old. And because my windows vista is OEM (means it recognize its mainboard), meaning the OS is going along to them. The whole system without the I/O cost about $1.7k at current market value, and im selling it for $1k should be quite fine. Plus baby use my comp b4, she should know how fine my system is. It is still a suggestion, still have to ask the buyer if they are fine taking a 18months old system, if baby's dad mind, then our alternative would be getting something brand new with lower spec. If her dad doesn't mind, then i will be getting a X-58 mainboard with my bro's i7-920 cpu, a 6gb triple channel ram, window 7 home premier 64-bits, EVGA GeForce GT260, a new 600 to 700 watts psu, a new casing(preferably a casing that is compatible with water cooling, so i can upgrade to water cooling in the future). I need to top up about $400 to $500 to get all this i think. Anyway, i went for lunch at about 4pm, got home and started doing some cleaning/tidying the room- sweep the floor, mop the floor, changing of bedsheet, laundry, washing 2 fans and finally washing myself. Chilling right now and listen to hot 108 jamz. Gonna play l4d2 later... 1more day and baby will be back, can't wait to see her... I miss you dear.... love you...hugs~~ |
